Good Mobile Control™

Enterprise-class Security & Device Management Made Easy

Good Mobile Control supports the entire operation with comprehensive over-the-air (OTA) management capabilities, granular security enforcement, and end-to-end visibility for trouble shooting and support. Good Mobile Control's enterprise-class standard for device management and security is accessed through a single, web-based console providing IT access to system functionality from virtually anywhere; including from their own mobile device.

Simple Architecture

Good Mobile Control is the core of Good for Enterprise's simple yet powerful architecture. Good's easy to install and manage system is compatible with existing components and versions of servers and handheld devices. No servers are deployed in the DMZ. No inbound firewall ports are opened. The entire mobile deployment can be easily secured and managed through a single, Web-based interface. Integrated with the Good Network Operations Center (NOC), Good for Enterprise and Good Mobile Control work together to provide end-to-end visibility with the benefits of guaranteed data delivery, simplified operations across different wireless network types, and session resilience between behind-the-firewall applications and mobile devices.

Easy to Implement

Install the Good server behind your firewall and access the console from your browser to configure groups, roles, and policies. Or use the default policies provided with the system. Once that's done, IT administration can create user accounts and provide users with their initial authorization PIN. Users then self-provision their device over-the-air (OTA). Good Mobile Control automatically pushes the Good client to the device along with security and management policies and any software specified in the user's policy set. At this point the device is now a secure, managed node on the corporate network

Administration of the entire mobility platform is done through a single web-based console. By utilizing a web-based interface, IT administrators are able to access the management, and reporting functions from any web browser, even from their own mobile device.

Security & Management

Good Mobile Control provides IT the tools to implement and enforce granular security policies that can be tailored to the various users supported. Good's policy-set / user group matrix model allows IT the greatest amount of flexibility in setting up groups and policies that best meet the unique needs of the enterprise. IT can group users based on functional areas yet administer a heterogeneous set of policies across the group. For example, the marketing group may have executive users with a greater level of permissions while marketing staff may have policies that are more restrictive.

Security policies control passwords, applications, data encryption, device features, remote device lock down or erase, and compliance management. All security and management policies are easily defined in the Good Administration Center and delivered to the device completely over-the-air.
